If JWs were advised to buy Apple i-pads, and Apple had a sale of over one million, they just might donate a 'bonus' to the GB.... an advertising plus.

Geoffrey Jackson's Golden Apple watch INVESTIGATED
by C0ntr013r ini went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.
the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .
the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.

Any leaked GB expense receipts?
by Bad_Wolf ini heard how in the 80's the gb always flew first class, nice resort hotels, etc.
there are the photos of geoffrey with his 17k apple watch, etc.
unless they are paying for cash, many of these things would have a paper trail on credit card statements, etc.

I care, it's about hypocrisy.... Every level of their lives, from the worst to the least is a hypocrisy.
Child abuse is at the top, but then to go around wearing expensive clothing, jewelry, and telling everyone else to be giving up their ice cream money is the extra twist on the screw in your hand.
Don't they make a "vow of poverty"?
"We care about child abuse, we abhor child abuse" .... ("Can you please make that a $3,000 suit?")
What's that song.... "If Jesus wore a Rolex?...."

Be careful about which card you try and remove!
by stuckinarut2 inthe belief system of witness has often been well described as a "house of cards"....seemingly stable, yet fragile at the same time.. as we try to awaken our loved ones, we may share certain topics and issues...trying to remove a card or two from the tower of cards.. sometimes in our eagerness, we try and remove some key hot topic...or a card or two at the base of the tower.. that can be very destructive and cause loved ones to act defensive or protective of their beliefs (the society).
they may dig in their heels.. rather, success comes from carefully and casually removing smaller cards from the top of the tower....then allowing them to even remove them for themselves!.
as keen as we are to just bulldoze them down, take it slowly and carefully.. show dignity, poise and grace....and patience....

I have spoken to two different JWs.... one 50 + old sister from my old congregation, who asked how I was doing, and a 19/20 year old brother who recognized me from "the circuit" .... he was a greeter, at WalMart.... so... he was kind of captive, hehe...
The approach I took with both of them was, "I have always loved justice, and truth, and morality.... My husband was DFd for testifying & telling the truth in a child sex abuse case.... I don't like hypocrisy, I can't support it..... I saw the ARC testimony from the branch, the service desk, the legal desk and Geoffrey Jackson (infamous GB) and their answers were not candid... I cannot support lying. The first sin in the Bible was "lying".....
That was the boiled down version of it.....
What do you think?

I agree with you, Stuckinarut2, and am constantly trying to think of the topics that I could use, especially since when talking to a JW, there is usually a limited amount of time.
What do you think are good ways to do this, seeing as you have recently just awoken?

2017 Convention Video To Be Shown Regarding The 1975 Failure
by pale.emperor inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go3arnnsfkk&feature=youtu.be.
no mention whatsoever that it was watchtower themselves that strongly hinted towards this date.
instead they blame those who "put their trust in a date, not jehovah".. let's recap... .

Yes, WC, exactly what I was thinking....
Appeal to emotions.
Emotions are used like blackmail by the WT. When we were going door to door, speaking to Catholics, disproving hell fire, they were blackmailed by the Catholic Church to abandon logic, "just in case" there was hell fire..
They hedged their bets.
Logic vs. emotions.

Crow Woe
by TerryWalstrom in“oh mommy!” the little girl in the floral dress cooed to her mother.. i felt the same.. that splash of vivid brightness on such a perfect creature takes your breath away!the delicate robin whose crimson colored breast chased ugliness from sight delighted little children on starbucks patio.. better still, her nest in a nearby tree stirs a keen anticipation for summer’s hatchling sounds of chirpy appetites and a renewal of hope for our futures, the little things and we ourselves.. i barely spy her nest, exquisitely fashioned, basket-like; roundish and stout.
she flits charmingly now...and again keeping custodial observance of her eggs.
such treasures!

August 2017 Watchtower - Screwing with J.W.'s minds again
by The Searcher inin the latest issue of double-speak, i'd like to highlight these two statements:.
page 3, par.
2 - "...how encouraging it is to know that jehovah’s faithful servants in the past felt free to express the same question that may loom in our minds, and they were not condemned for asking it!

It's about progress, not perfection...
by scratchme1010 ini guess at this point in time and space i'm ok if there's an indication of things going in the right direction.. my jw father, who joined the jws in 1973 when i was 8, has always had all the characteristics of the stereotypical brainwashed born again weirdo.
as a jw he always felt the need to show that he was more devoted than the rest of the crop.
to him, life became very easy from that point on: "the bible", interpreted by the millions of wt publications, along with the information in the meetings and getting involved in all jw activities, were the answer to everything and anything in his life".

I feel the same way you do, my mom is a J-dub, & my dad has never been one.
My mom, and us 4 kids, always were doing JW things... meetings, service, conventions, and my dad was basically on his own, in his own world... He was a hunter/ fisherman, belonged to a club, had friends, but there were two family world's.
Now, he is in his late 80s, my mom is a few years younger, I am not a JW anymore (left in 2012) and they need help.
My mom had to call..... she needed help, she even used her cell phone... Usually, she speaks to me in a "business like" tone, afraid of the boogeyman, but with more 'communication' she is becoming more relaxed.
We will see what the future holds, it is hard for me not to get mad and tell her off.... I was never DF'd. My husband, was DF'd for testifying for WT.
The WT is very evil for separating families, making them suspicious, preventing them from bonding, enjoying life. WT is a blackmailed.
I hope one day, the "curtain will be pulled open" and "the wall" will come down, and families will be families once more.

I believe they know... I know, and I don't even hear all the crap THEY do. I am not an elder, I am not a man.
I know...... I have seen enough of them, heard enough from them....They know...
